Privacy Policy.

This English version is a translation for convenience; the Turkish version is binding.

TikSift helps you find the videos you repost and save on TikTok by date, topic and person. It is made of a website, an account and a browser extension that goes with it (Chrome and Firefox). This page explains which data we process, where it is kept, who it is shared with and how it is deleted. For the legal notice, see also the KVKK Privacy Notice.

What data we process

Your account

• Your email address and password. The password is stored only as an irreversible digest (hash); we cannot see it.
• When the account was created and when you last signed in.
• Technical records kept by the authentication service for session security: IP address, browser details, sign-in and sign-out times.

Your consents

• The version of the Terms of Use you accepted and when you accepted them.
• Your optional email permission (news and offers) and every change to it, with its time.

Your library

During a sync, the following data of the account you are signed in to on TikTok is read and saved:

• The username and account ID of the TikTok account you are signed in to (to find your own lists).
• The videos in your repost and saved lists: video ID, caption, hashtags, publication date, duration, the music's title and artist, the category TikTok gives, the cover image's address and the public view, like, comment, share, save and repost counts.
• The name, username and TikTok account ID of these videos' authors; when TikTok shows them with a video, the usernames of other accounts that reposted it.
• The name, username and account ID of other profiles you add, whether the account is private, and their public repost lists.
• When a video was first seen in a list (repost and save dates are calculated from this), when and how far a sync went, the topics you create and your app settings.

We do not read your TikTok password, messages, following list, payment details or device details. We do not copy TikTok's session cookies; the extension sends its requests from inside the TikTok tab, as if the page itself made them.

Ads

Only if you allow it under cookies, ads from our ad partners (currently Google AdSense) are shown in the app and their advertising cookies load. If you do not allow it, no request goes to any ad network. The current list of partners is in the Cookie Policy.

Where the data is kept

The working copy of your library is kept in this site's storage in your browser (IndexedDB and localStorage). A compressed backup of it is saved to your account: it updates by itself shortly after changes and comes back when you sign in on another computer. Your account details and this copy are stored with Supabase, on servers in the European Union (Ireland) region; by their access rules, each account can reach only its own data.

The site consists of static files hosted on Cloudflare. While serving pages, Cloudflare may keep technical records (e.g. IP address, request time); we do not use these records for analytics or tracking.

What the extension does

The extension's only job is to carry read requests between the site and TikTok.

• It reaches only www.tiktok.com pages and runs only while this site is open, during a sync.
• In Firefox it also runs on this site's pages to talk to the site; it does not read their content.
• It sends only read (GET) requests and only to certain paths: profile pages and the repost and saved lists. Every other request is refused in the extension.
• It does not post, like, follow or send messages, and changes nothing in your account.
• It passes the data it reads only to this site's tab on your computer. It stores no data itself.
• Only this site's addresses can connect to the extension; other sites cannot.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. To run the service we share it only with these providers, and only as far as needed:

Video covers are shown directly from TikTok's content servers; loading these images is subject to TikTok's own policies. No profile photos are shown; people appear with their initials. Where the law requires it, we may share data with the competent public authorities.

These providers' servers are outside Türkiye; why and to what extent data is transferred abroad is explained in section 6 of the KVKK Privacy Notice.

How long we keep it

• Your account details, consent records and library copy are kept while your account is open.
• When you delete your account they are deleted at once. Copies in the providers' backup systems are deleted within 30 days at the latest.
• Session and email sending records are kept for the providers' security retention periods.
• The copy in your browser is removed when you sign out or clear the site's data.

Backups

The app's "Back up" option also saves your library to your computer as a file. This file stays with you only; you decide where to put it and who to share it with.

Deleting your data

In the app, Settings → Account → Delete my account deletes your account, consent records, the library copy in your account and the copy in this browser together; this cannot be undone. To remove the extension, press "Remove" on chrome://extensions in Chrome or about:addons in Firefox; no data is left in the extension to delete.

Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as digests. In the database, row-level access rules let each account reach only its own data. The extension reads only the allowed TikTok paths and talks only to this site.

Children

The service is not for children under 13. If you are under 18, get your parent's or guardian's consent before creating an account.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page and the date at the top is updated. We also notify important changes to your account's email address.
